Gender Reveal

We decided that we just had to know the sex of the babies, so at our 15week ultrasound the tech made her best guess and put the genders in 2 different envelopes, one labeled Baby A and one Baby B.  We took the envelopes to Target where we handed over the envelope and had them put pink or blue frosting in the inside layer.
The day of the party we picked up the cakes and invited our family and close friends over to join us in the celebration.  Kelly, my husband, cut the first cake, Baby A, was a BOY! I cut the second cake and revealed the pink for our little girl.

It was a great party and was great to be involve our friends and family in such an exciting event in our lives!

Answer to Prayer

On September 12, our long time prayers were answered when we received a positive pregnancy test. God is truly in charge and are thankful for that!!

God is so Good!!

Summer Adventures

Kelly volunteered with Wells Fargo to work at the Principle Classic at Glen Oaks. We were given tickets to watch the event and even received VIP escort to the greens!

Kelly also had the opportunity to go to Panama on Missions Trip with our church. He had an amazing time with the orphan children and would have packed a few in his suit case to bring home.  How rewarding it is to do God's Work!

Miami

This years summer vacation was in Miami, FL. Kelly and I had driven through when we visited Fort Lauderdale but thought it would be a nice place to bring Kadance to get some R&R. We spent a lot of time at the beach and condo pool. We stayed in a time share that was in a great location on the beach and Kadance met a few friends while at the pool.

Miami Seaquarium had a lot of animals and great shows
Our ride for the week
At dinner we convinced Kadance she ate octopus (I still don't think we cleared that one up).
The last night we ate at Houstons, you could just dock your boat and eat.  Great Food!

The Garden

Perk #356 of the new home is the yard.  This year I was able to plant my own garden with the help of my very hard-working, expert of a grandpa.  Here are some the pics this far....

We started from scratch, we removed the grass square by square (transplant below).
To the front of the house.

Tadaaa... added some landscaping stones.

This is the top level where we planted the tomatoes, peppers, and peas.

Grandpa added manure and soil to my awful, clay-like, soil.

Here he is tillin' up the land...

My first sprout.  Hard to see but it's in there!

Homemade signs. Found the wood slabs at Hobby Lobby, spray painted with chalkboard paint and added my labels.

And the Harvest... Lettuce

Green Beans

Sugar-Snap Peas

Tomatoes

And Jalapenos.

I am still waiting to pick my carrots and green onions.  This has been a wonderful experience and have even developed a love for tomatoes!

Kadance Event's

Kadance is a pretty busy lady.  Here are some of the activities she has been involved with lately.
New Member of the Junior Hawk Club

Super Girl for AWANA'S

80's Girl for Generation Day at School

Award Recipient for completing her AWANA book

And 2nd grader in Sunday School!

I scream for Ice Cream

Another perk to the new house is the ice cream truck that comes by once a week. We can hear it coming down the street every tuesday at 4:45.  This has been great with this hot summer.

Everyone enjoys a push pop.
