Fall Festival/Beggars' Night

Before Kadance headed off to the Fall Festival at church, she read her 20th book for October, to receive her free personal pan pizza for Book It!!! We are so proud of how she is doing and improving from Kindergarten.

Kadance dressed up as Belle from Beauty and the Beast (this was my old costume) and looked great!

On Beggars' night Kadance decided she wanted to be an Angel. For Cate's first Halloween she was a lady bug and pulled it off well!

Carving Pumpkins

While we are waiting for our dream home to accept our offer.....

we are residing at an apartment in Ankeny. So with the limited space we only carved one pumpkin this year. We let Kadance design it, she wanted it to be a scary vampire.  With some knife assisstance from Kelly here is her masterpiece.

This year we went to a new pumpkin patch in Adel. There were a lot of new things for us to do and enjoy.

Traveling

Kadance did a great job on the airplane, I think after riding in a 2 seater airplane made this experience much easier.  She was very interested in the emergency exit procedures and let me know that the instructions didn't match up with our plane and wasn't sure how we were going to exit the plane on the wing. Luckily we didn't need to find out.  On they way back Kadance and Kelly volunteered to stay in Milwaukee for the night and got 2 round trip tickets for our next trip.  The planning has already started!!!

The Beach!!

All though it wasn't the nicest day, Kadance loved the beach.  Next trip we take we are going to make sure we have much more beach time.  She loved looking for shells and became more fearless of the waves!

Daytona Beach

We went to Daytona to go to the beach, it started raining on the way there. We made a few stops on the way. Daytona International Speedway, NASA Space Center, and shopping.

Kadance also got her hair done on the beach, she picked out string and charms for them to put in her hair.
